The Rising Sun & Nagasaki Express - January 13, 1877

The Rising Sun & Nagasaki Express - January 13, 1877 -- The Chinese Temple presented a gay and lively scene on Saturday evening the 7th instant. As usual the Mitsubishi S. S. Co. entertained the Chinese shippers to dinner. About 250 squatted down on the mats, each with a small table before him, and chopsticks were soon brought into requisition. The bill of fare was entirely Japanese, and was served in the most sumptuous style. Everything passed off most satisfactorily, and all appeared highly elated at passing a really most enjoyable evening. -- Keywords: Nagasaki Chinese; Mitsubishi
